Characteristics of the Plant and Product
Long before the Christians, the Greeks and Romans tried to grab the branches of cypress and embrace the trunk to relieve their pain and worries. In Europe, Cypress is a candle-shaped sacred tree. It is planted near cemeteries, temples and monasteries, which is thus a symbol of hope and eternity. The cypress essential oil contains monoterpenes, carene, pinene and sesquiterpenes, which has astringent, repairing and nourishing properties and is used to treat cellulitis, edema, or varicose veins. It is especially suitable for ladies.
It should be noted that people who are pregnant, or those with high blood pressure should avoid using cypress essential oil.
