Characteristics of the Plant and Product
Plants with the character “officinalis” in their names have medicinal values and can be found in the pharmacopoeia. Lemon balm is no exception, drugs containing lemon balm ingredients have been sold in pharmacies for hundreds of years. They are mainly used for anti-virus, soothing mood, lowering blood pressure and hypnosis.
Because the extraction rate of lemon balm essential oil is very low, the price is relatively expensive, and it is rare in the market.
